Welcome - Art Is a Battlefield

Updated: Aug 10

Hi Artist. Whether you are a painter, dancer, filmmaker, or writer; there is one thing that remains constant.

The Battle.

I'm not talking about the internal war that Steven Pressfield talks about in THE WAR OF ART.

I'm talking about the war that society has on artists.

It's why you are selling "content" instead of selling your writing, paintings, etc.

It's why people tell you to get a real job, while listening to someone else's song or watching their movie.

Society needs artists.

But it is vehemently against valuing them.

It is determined to keep you under it's heel.

So you have to fight. You have to be a gun for hire. And you have to determine your worth.

Because if you leave it up to others, you'll starve.
